The DOE National Science Bowl is the country's premier high school science competition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. Teams of five compete in fast-paced buzzer rounds across Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth and Space Science, and Energy.
At Carmel, the fall is spent reading the standard college texts together, writing questions, and practicing on the buzzer in small squads.
Tryouts run all fall as a weekly training season — collaborative, hands-on, and open to everyone. No experience required.
